The Favorite Hobbit! (With Art)

Sorry for skipping a week Hobbitses *lowers head in shame* I procrastinated, so I put off the drawing to last week which happened to be our church’s vbs. And now THIS week is youth camp (I’m actually on my way with my youth group right now😆) But I DID finish the drawing late last night, at least, enough to post it here. I’m not very happy with it, but oh well, I need to be punished somehow for putting it off😆

Ok, so I told you I’d post some of my fan art I’ve already done of-

Wait! Haha just now remembered I haven’t told you who the winner is…🤭😂😂 Bet you can’t guess! Yep, the winner is… SAMWISE THE BRAVE!!

So here’s a collage of few little sketches I did of this dear Hobbit (just three…? Yeah, ikr):

Bottom right was drawn in December 2019 recently after I had watched the movie. Top right was a random collage I did last year. Not impressed on how Sam turned out in that one. The drawing on the left I did while starting a month long LOTR drawing challenge. Never finished the challenge😆

Oh, and here’s another unfinished sketch I forgot about:

Ok… now for the drawing I “finished” yesterday. When you see it you’ll know why I put quotation marks on “finished”. ALSO I almost forgot to take a pic of it this morning and we were about to leave when I did, so I took a picture; and then, when we were down the road a ways, I remembered I forgot to sign my name😬. So yeah, your just gonna have to trust that I’m the one who drew it. So, without further rambling here ’tis:

I used a proportional divider to help with proportions. I usually don’t use one, but I decided it would be faster then just using my finger and a pencil. Apparently I didn’t pay enough attention to the proportions of his face cause it’s a lil wonky. Oh well. And you can see on the left shoulder (it would be his right) the place where I couldn’t erase my misplaced dark line. Alright, I’m a perfectionist. On the whole, the drawing hasn’t met my standards, but again, oh well. 😂

See ya later Hobbitses! I hope you enjoyed this very… hurriedly-put-together post!😄 Have a blessed week!
